Custom Heirloom Orders

Send me
your china.
I'll turn it into
something to wear.

If you have a piece of family china sitting in a box — chipped, broken, or just never used — Tina can make it into a handmade pendant from your exact plate, your exact pattern, your exact story.

How It Works

Four steps from
your plate to your pendant.

The process is simple. Fill out the form below, ship Tina one plate, and she takes care of everything else — including photos of the process along the way.

1
Fill out the form

Tell Tina about your china — the pattern, where it came from, what you're hoping for. She'll respond within 2 business days to confirm the order and discuss the design.

2
Ship one plate

Once Tina confirms your order, ship her a single plate — or even a broken piece — to the studio in Ormond Beach, Florida. She'll send packing instructions to protect it in transit.

3
Tina makes your piece

Tina cuts, bevels, and sets your pendant by hand. She'll send you photos at each stage so you can watch it come together. Turnaround is 3–4 weeks from receiving your plate.

4
Receive your heirloom

Your finished pendant ships within 3 business days. Details about the china's origin and how it was made. Payment is collected by Stripe link once the piece is complete.

What You Need to Send

You don't need
a whole set.
One plate is enough.

A single plate — or a broken piece

You don't need to send a full set. One plate, a saucer, even a large broken fragment can yield one or more pendants. Tina will tell you exactly what's possible once she sees what you have.

Any china pattern — vintage or modern

Fine china, everyday dishes, wedding china, grandmother's set, holiday plates — if it's porcelain or ceramic with a pattern you love, Tina can work with it.

The story behind it (optional but wonderful)

If you know where the china came from — whose it was, when they got it, what occasions it marked — Tina includes that story on the note card that ships with your pendant.

Your plate is returned with your order

Tina returns your plate — or what remains of it after cutting — with your finished pendant. You keep the original along with the piece she made from it.

Common Questions

Everything you might
want to know before you ship.

What if my china is already broken?
That's perfectly fine — and honestly very common. Broken china is how Pieces Past began. As long as the pattern is intact on at least one section of the plate, Tina can work with it. Send her a photo in your inquiry form and she'll let you know what's possible.
Will I get my plate back?
Yes. Tina returns your plate — or what remains of it after cutting — with your finished pendant. You keep both the original plate and the piece she made from it. The origin card that ships with your pendant tells the full story of the china.
How do I ship the plate safely?
Once Tina confirms your order, she'll email you her specific packing instructions — she's seen plenty of plates arrive in pieces that shouldn't have. Don't ship anything until you hear from her first.
Can I get more than one pendant from a single plate?
Often yes. Most standard dinner plates yield 2–4 pendants depending on the pattern and how it's distributed across the plate. Tina will tell you exactly how many are possible with your specific china when she reviews your inquiry.
When do I pay?
Payment is collected only after your pendant is complete and you've approved it. Tina will send you photos of the finished piece before charging anything. Payment is processed securely via Stripe — card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
How long does it take?
Standard turnaround is 3–4 weeks from the day Tina receives your plate. Rush orders (2 weeks) are available for bridal commissions — mention your date in the inquiry form and Tina will let you know if she can accommodate it.
What if I don't know the pattern name?
No problem at all. Describe what it looks like — colors, flowers, geometric, birds, whatever you see — and include a photo if you can. Tina has been working with china for 15 years and can usually identify a pattern from a description alone.
Can I order earrings or a bracelet instead of a pendant?
Yes. Tina makes earrings and bracelets as well, especially for bridal commissions. Mention what you're looking for in the inquiry form and she'll let you know what's possible with your pattern and plate size.
